The School's Insignia
From a study of symbols and coats-of-arms we gain insight and perspective on what a particular group, tribe or clan stands for. It is a knowledge of the rules by which designs are composed and defined, thus heralding the principles with which the group identifies itself.

The central symbol used by EBC is a circular emblem of oriental origin, the yin-yang, which stands for the balance between light and dark, right and wrong, good and evil. The berimbau, who commands the roda, is what defines the nature and unfolding of the game. Ancient masters utilized them even up to the point of arms, for defense. On the lower portion is the inscription of our Master’s name in red (the color of the highest graduation) as homage to the leader and founder of our academy, Mestre Oscar.
